Owners of Small-sized Housing from Soviet Street Receive 2-room Apartments
A group of residents of former Soviet Street has got new homes in the Narimanov district of Baku. As stated in the City Hall, these are the owners of apartments, whose living space was less than 25 square meters.
According to the same source, from former Soviet Street and the adjacent spaces about 50 thousand people will be relocated. According to the decision of the Cabinet on July 9, 2015, the owners of property less than 25 square meters will be moved to two-room apartments in the Narimanov district. It regards 400 apartments in two residential buildings.
Since the beginning of the demolition of old housing in the Soviet Street area the demolition of 8,600 apartments is assumed. During this process, the owners of 2,320 flats have preferred monetary compensation.
At present two residential buildings are under construction. They will house some 200 families whose living space was less than 25 square meters -02D-
