Pashinyan united Armenia and Karabakh

Baku/07.06.19/Turan: All-Armenian sports games are held in Nagorno-Karabakh. Speaking at the opening of the games, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said on Monday that "Artsakh" is Armenia, and that is all. " Pashinyan"s goal in the negotiations by Azerbaijan is "to consolidate the results achieved through the realization by the Karabakh people of their right to self-determination". Any decision on the settlement can be made "only with popular support in Armenia and Karabakh," he said. The prime minister"s speech called for abandoning the concepts of "Karabakh", "Ijevan", "Gumri", strengthening the Armenian army to be among the 20 strongest armies in the world, creating special services that are among the ten strongest special services in the world, etc.

"We are committed to a peaceful resolution of the issue, for us, strengthening the security of Armenia and Artsakh remains an absolute priority," the Prime Minister said. His speech is being actively discussed by specialists in Azerbaijan. Military expert Uzeyir Jafarov writes on Facebook "Pashinyan said his last word." Jafarov cursed everyone who, after these words, would sit at the negotiating table with Pashinyan and predicted a very radical and unexpected response from Azerbaijan, "which no one can resist in any way." Jafarov demands a response from official Baku and the OSCE Minsk Group.

Former national security officer Ilham Ismail considers it necessary to convene urged the Security Council of Azerbaijan. Then he notices that convocation of the Security Council is impossible, so its members rest abroad. Political analyst Elhan Shainoglu left a post on Facebook in which he considers it necessary for Baku to demand an official response from international organizations to Pashinyan"s speech. Because the statement of the Prime Minister on the actual accession of Nagorno-Karabakh to Armenia leads to an understanding of the cessation of negotiations and the declaration of war. Secondly, the political scientist considers it logical for Baku to answer Pashinyan this way: if Nagorno-Karabakh is Armenia, then Armenia is Azerbaijan.

In general, Shainoglu proposes to evaluate Pashinyan"s speech as a purely appeal to the internal audience and even a mockery of the head of government over the Armenians, since in the same speech the Prime Minister puts forward impossible tasks for them:

- By 2050, bring the population of Armenia to 5 million,

- Create one and a half million jobs in Armenia,

- To increase the average salary in Armenia by 7 times, and healthcare financing by 20 times,

- The Armenian national team to become the world champion,

- Achieve 15 million tourists in Armenia annually.

"Artsakh is Armenia, and that"s it!", Pashinyan"s phrase became the headline of many publications in the Armenian and foreign press dedicated to the last speech of the Prime Minister in Nagorno-Karabakh. In it, Pashinyan presented for discussion a working version of the national strategic goals, the tasks that the Republic of Armenia should be able to solve before 2050.

The Foreign Ministry of Azerbaijan does not comment on Pashinyan"s speech; there is no reaction from this department on the Foreign Ministry"s website. None of the country's leaders responded to Pashinyan"s appeal. The common theme of pro-government media in Azerbaijan remains the statement by Deputy Prime Minister Ali Ahmedov about the local opposition, which, he said, has teamed up with foreign forces to slander the campaign against Azerbaijan.
