The potential of the Azerbaijani economy, the real amount of taxes outside the oil sector, and the growing pressure on the manat are the topics of today's media.
The Azertag.az website evaluates the growing potential of Azerbaijan, the development of the non-oil sector and the expansion of export opportunities, as well as the activity of industrial parks. The website publishes an interview with Minister of Economy Shahin Mustafayev on these issues. According to him, in 2018 the share of the private sector in industry was 83.2%, and in the first half of 2019 - 82.5%. The Minister also reminded that currently there are 5 industrial parks in the country - Sumgait Chemical, Balakhani, Mingechevir, Garadag and Pirallahi. Today they have produced products worth one and a half billion manat, and products worth 300 million manat have been exported. In addition, 22 agricultural parks are already operating in the country, and their total number will be brought to 51. By the end of this year, 11 agricultural parks will begin their activities, which will provide more than 4 thousand jobs. The Minister touched on non-oil exports, noting that over 3 years it had grown by 36.5%, amounting to $ 1.7 billion, and there are more than 3 thousand varieties of non-oil products.
The website Yenisabah.az discusses the reasons for the growth of tax revenues to the state budget with the expert Rovshan Agayev. According to the expert, the growth of tax revenues (93%) is due to the oil sector.
In the non-oil sector, tax collections grew by only 7.5%. According to the expert, in recent years, value added tax in this area has been collected in the amount of 200-300 million manat.
The newspaper Yeni Musavat writes about the impact of the ruble exchange rate on the manat. So, 36% of all non-oil exports of Azerbaijan account for Russia. In addition, during the year, about $ 1 billion comes from Russia to Azerbaijan. Therefore, the depreciation of the ruble has a negative impact on the economy of Azerbaijan. -0---

Baku, often called the "Caucasian Dubai," is increasingly known for systematic violations of residents' housing rights. Many, recognizing the futility of resistance, settle for inadequate monetary compensation for their irreplaceable property. A minority, placing faith in the Housing Code, demand fair compensation from construction companies but often lose everything—both their homes and any form of recompense.
