Passengers Blocking Doors Caused Metro Train to Stop
Baku / 09.17.19 / Turan: On Tuesday morning, a metro train stopped in the tunnel between the Ulduz and Narimanov stations of Baku Subway for seven minutes. After arriving at the Narimanov station, the car doors did not open for several minutes. As a result, several passengers lost consciousness due to stuffiness. They received medical assistance.
Due to the delay of this train, the movement of other trains was disrupted.
According to the press service of Baku Subway, the interruption arose from the fact that passengers blocked the doors of the cars, trying to squeeze inside. Blocking the doors led to the shutdown of the control system and turning off the lights in the cars. The problem was later fixed.
A sharp influx of passengers in the subway is associated with the beginning of the school year. Despite the fact that the frequency of metro trains has been increased, the metro does not cope with the passenger flow. -02D-
