Passengers of the Baku-Nakhchivan bus will pass customs control in Baku
Baku/20.08.19/Turan: From August 19, passengers of the Baku-Nakhchivan-Baku buses will undergo customs control in Baku.
The Azerbaijani Customs Committee informs that this decision was dictated by the desire to facilitate the procedure for crossing the Azerbaijani-Iranian border and not to detain passengers there.
Until now, passengers have been tested when leaving Azerbaijan and entering Iran. Reaching the territory of Nakhchivan, they were again subjected to customs inspection.
During negotiations with the Iranian side, an agreement was reached on simplifying the procedure for border crossing by bus passengers.
According to the new order, passengers" cargo will receive numbered seals, and buses will not pass customs clearance.
The Azerbaijani side gives guarantees that among the buses crossing the territory of Iran there will be no items prohibited in this country.
A similar procedure will be carried out at the bus station in Nakhchivan in respect of passenger buses and cargo entering Iran from Nakhchivan. -02D-
