Prepared project to clean the bottom of the Baku Bay
The amount of waste accumulated in the form of deposits in the Baku Bay is estimated at 46 million cubic meters. The total area of the bay is 50 sq. km and the coastline is 20 km.
According to the Director of Design Institute, Ilgar Isbatov, now experts from MOE and several foreign countries conduct studies to plan the cleanup of the bottom of the bay.
Note that these wastes have accumulated over decades of oil production at sea and seriously polluted not only the bottom, but the water in the bay. -02D-
