Official press reports on the meeting of Ilham Aliyev with the head of the monitoring mission of OSCE ODIHR and his rewarding the library system employees.

  

Azadlig gives details on ITV’s failure to provide Jamil Gasanli with paid airtime.

According to a Radio Azadlig survey, more than 75 % of the voters are ready to vote for Jamil Gasanli.

The newspaper also publishes Gasanli’s words addressed to Ilham Aliyev: How can you call yourself the president of all Azerbaijanis if you imprison young people, by throwing drugs into their pockets.

The arrested son of Popular Front leader, Turkel Kerimli, is not allowed to meet with his mother. Prison employees admit they were given such an order.

 

Zerkalo 

A columnist talks about Russia's policy toward the countries of CSTO member states, calling the organization a club in the hands of Moscow.

The newspaper also wrote about government pressure on the National Council and its members.

 

Echo cites the opinion of economic experts that 20% of the population rely on loans. Thus, their average debt is 780 manats.

     

 Novoye Vremya

The newspaper wrote about consequences from the rainstorm in Baku on Monday and the city authority’s inability to cope with the affects.  

Where are the huge funds allocated for urban infrastructure, the newspaper asks.

 

Bizim Yol newspaper criticized Araz Alizadeh’s TV speech, who does not behave as an independent candidate for the presidency or a Social Democrat, but just severely criticizes the opposition.

The columnist also criticizes actions by the Ministry of Education, which force parents to buy books at the book market, even though they have given them away free.

   

Yeni Musavat 

The newspaper published the transcript of a telephone conversation between the ex -speaker Rasul Guliyev, who lives in exile in the USA, and the head of the Open Society Party, Sulhaddin Akbar. In this transcript they discuss the National Council meeting on September 22. Rasul Guliyev used offensive language against opposition leaders.  It is unclear on how the transcript came to the press.
