The prisoner in Jail №1 Elshan Pashayev on March 2 sewed his mouth and went on hunger strike. In this way, he protests against the pressure on him and inhuman treatment. Turan was told by his mother Lydia Mirzoyeva.
"My son is subjected to physical and moral pressure from other prisoners on the orders of the administration.
My son was beaten, spit in his face, insulted, and strongly provoked retaliatory actions to initiate criminal case against him,” she said.
Elshan Pashayev was sentenced to 12 years in prison on charges of premeditated murder. He had already served 10 years. Pashayev asked the court to release him from the remainder of the term of imprisonment. This appeal was considered on February 24. The prison administration did not give a positive response.
In turn, the prison service told Turan that this prisoner appealed to the leadership of the jail in connection with the hunger strike.
"The prisoner Elshan Pashayev has no health problems and information on the hunger strike is not true," said the prison service. -03B04-
