At today’s trial in the Nasimi court in the case of Dayanat Babayev, a member of the youth organization of the Popular Front, the state prosecutor Fuad Asgerov asked the court to imprison Babayev to four years, Turan was told by Dayanat Babayev himself, who is on parole. The investigation claims that on November 7, 2012 Babayev, along with another activist of PPFA, Rahim Musayev violate public order in the center of Baku. Allegedly in a drunken state , they insulted Tofig Salimov, and caused him minor injuries.
In fact, Salimov dressed in civilian clothes, introduced himself as a police officer, and offered the activists to follow to the police station. When the young activists demanded their identity, he tried to flee. Young people reported it to the nearest police officer, but they themselves were detained. Last night, three earthquakes occurred along the Armenia-Azerbaijan border with magnitudes of 4.8, 3.0, and 3.8, according to the Republican Center for Seismological Service of the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan.
