A protest in connection with the termination of the electricity supply to the village took place in the village of Nardaran (40 km from Baku), according to Natig Kerimov, the elder of the villager Nardaran, the village is served daily electricity only for 6-7 hours. The "Bakyelektrishebeke" motivated it the debt of the village amounting 600,000 manats.
The village is not supplied with gas for several years, because of the 200,000 manat debt. Locals demand the abolition of debts and agree to pay 20 manat for electricity and gas a month.
Villagers urged relevant government agencies to send their representatives in Nardaran to solve the problem until 16 December. Otherwise, they will continue the protests.
Total subscribers of electricity and gas in the village is 1700 people.—05В06-
