"Purge" in Narimanov Prosecutor"s Office
The Narimanov District Prosecutor Fikret Makhmudov and his deputy Jahid Guliyev have been released from their positions. Assistant Prosecutor Samir Mammadov has been completely dismissed from the prosecutor's office, said the press service of the Prosecutor General on 17 September.
The prosecutors were dismissed in connection with the identification of their activities "incompatible" with the prosecutor's work. This was evident during the investigation of the criminal case against the former judge of the Baku Court of Grave Crimes Hassan Aliyev, who is accused of embezzling money of the citizen Ramazan Salimov.
In addition, these prosecutors made irregularities in the procedure of supervision over the preliminary investigation and in other criminal cases, and grossly violated the service discipline.
In addition, employees of the prosecutor's office in the Narimanov district allowed gross violations of the criminal procedure law and the orders of the public prosecutor, unreasonably refused to initiate criminal proceedings, and did not consider the complaints of citizens. -03D06-
