Rahim Gaziev's brother joined PFPA
Baku/12.08.20/Turan: Rahab Gaziev, brother of the arrested ex-defense minister (1992-1993) Rahim Hajiyev, told Turan today about his decision to join the Popular Front Party (PFPA). Today he informed the leadership of the Popular Front Party about his decision.
Justifying his decision, Rahab Gaziev noted that the PFPA is the most experienced and consistent party. He did not associate this step with the arrest of his brother.
Rahab Gaziev is a former political prisoner. He was arrested in 1995 and served 6 years in the so-called "generals case". Then a group of military and civilians was preparing an attempt on the life of President Heydar Aliyev. The conspiracy was revealed in advance.
Rahim Gaziev was arrested on July 13, 2020 on charges of anti-state activities and calls for the seizure of state bodies.
Until 2005, he served 11 years in the case of "the occupation of the cities of Shusha and Lachin by Armenian troops in Nagorno-Karabakh in May 1992." - 0—
