Ramil Usubov Reports on Measures to Combat Crime
Baku / 28.01.19 / Turan: In 2018, the state bodies carrying out operational and investigative activities and registered 26,381 crimes. Of these, 84.7 percent were disclosed. This was announced on January 28 at the extended meeting of the Board of the Ministry of Internal Affairs by the Minister, Ramil Usubov.
The Minister, according to the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, noted that 89.7 percent. crimes were not of great public danger or crimes of minor gravity.
869 groups that committed 2,277 crimes were neutralized.
Five persons who committed armed resistance to police officers were destroyed.
1 ton of 136 kg was withdrawn from illegal circulation. drugs, and 45 groups involved in these crimes were neutralized.
144 facts of trafficking and 4 crimes of forced labor were revealed, 13 criminal groups consisting of 28 persons were neutralized.
At the same time, 98 victims were reintegrated into society.
The number of traffic offenses increased by 1.3%. Total of such offenses recorded was 3,409,698.
A year ago, Interior Minister Ramil Usubov reported that in 2017, 26,113 crimes were reported. It was noted that, compared with 2016, the number of crimes decreased by 2.6 percent.
A number of experts explain the high level of crime detection (an average of 85 percent or more per year) with the fact that some crimes are not recorded. -06D--
