Ramin Hajily sentenced to 7 years and 7 months
Baku/26.10.22/Turan: On October 26, the Baku Serious Crimes Court found Ramin Hajili, the head of the European Movement of Azerbaijan, guilty, and sentenced to 7 years, 7 months and 14 days in prison.
The investigation established that the head of the "No Border Travel Agency" LLC Ramin Hajily, the chairman of the Youth Scientific and Cultural Development Association Sardar Iskenderov, as well as the employees of "Yes Travel" LLC Sarkhan Abdullayev, Uzeyir Bagirli, the head of "HMH Baku Travel" LLC Narmina Dadashova, Zakir Amirov, Aziz Safaraliev and Akif Asadov forged and sold certificates of employment to citizens in order to obtain visas and migrant status for Azerbaijani citizens when traveling to the United States, Canada and European countries.
Bank statements, documents on movable and immovable property, letters of invitation with a call to law enforcement agencies, and medical certificates of injuries were also forged. All this was done to organize illegal migration.
Ramin Hajily was previously convicted of similar actions. He and the other persons listed above were prosecuted under Article 178.3.1 (fraud within an organized group). The cases of the remaining defendants are separated into a separate proceeding.-16D-

Last night, three earthquakes occurred along the Armenia-Azerbaijan border with magnitudes of 4.8, 3.0, and 3.8, according to the Republican Center for Seismological Service of the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan. The Ministry of Emergency Situations reported no information about any destruction or casualties as a result of the earthquakes.
