On March 4 jury of the “Front Line Defenders Award for Human Rights Defenders at Risk” announced the names of the five finalists, including the winner will be elected in 2015. All finalists are either in prison, or are subjected to threats because of defense of human rights.
According to the press release of the organization, based in Ireland, among the finalists are :
Juan Carlos Flores Solís - ecologist from Mexico;
Diane Marie Rodríguez - defender of the rights of minorities from Ecuador;
Guo Feixiong - a human rights activist from China;
Rasul Jafarov - human rights activist from Azerbaijan;
Yara Sallam - Egyptian lawyer.
