The journalist Rauf Mirkadyrov contained in the MNS jail is transferred to a prison hospital for medical examination today. Mirkadyrov’s lawyer Fuad Agayev told Turan IA. According to unofficial sources, Mirkadyrov has serious health problems.
In early August Mirkadyrov was questioned at the trial of the couple Leila and Arif Yunus. Watching the trial then, the human rights activist Mirvari Gahramanli said Mirkadyrov looked much thinner and suffering from pain.
Mirkadyrov was arrested in April 2014 on charges of treason immediately after his deportation from Turkey. He categorically denies the accusation. The real reason for his arrest was participation in projects of Leila Yunus, who was also accused of treason. -03B-
