Rejection of the convicted in the case of "Ismayilli cause" is declined (UPDATED)
On September 3 the Sheki Court of Appeal listened to five witnesses in the case of Ismayilli events, they are residents of Ismayilli region. Previously, the judge announced that the rejection of prisoners on the makeup of lawyers, was declined. As for the witnesses, they said they did not see the convicted people among those who participated in the riots and committed unlawful acts.
The lawyer Safata Agamalyeva reiterated the request for a subpoena Alaskar Badalov, chief of Mingachevir police, as a witness. However, the judge stated that this is not necessary.
Lawyer Fuad Agayev petitioned for viewing some videos. The judge granted the motion, and appointed the trial for the morning of September 4.—26С-

Today the Court of Appeal in Sheki continued trial on the Ismayilli unrest.
On March 17, 2013 the Sheki Court of Grave Crimes sentenced 18 defendants for participating and organizing riots in Ismayilli on 23-24 January 2013.
The leader of the movement REAL Ilgar Mammadov received 7 years of imprisonment and the deputy chairman of the party Musavat, Tofig Yagublu, to 5 years. Both are recognized by Amnesty International as "prisoners of conscience."
Eight people got up to 8 years in prison. The same number of defendants received suspended sentences.
As a special correspondent for Turan reported, at today's meeting it was supposed to hear testimony from the witnesses. However, the attorney Nizami Abbasov recalled his petition to call four witnesses, but the judge said that such an application was not available.
The key witness is Alasgar Badalov, head of the police in Mingachevir.
According to the lawyer, the man asked the resident of Ismayilli, Akif Agamaliyev, to appease the protesters. Nevertheless, he was arrested and convicted of involvement in the riots.
The judge did not give a clear answer to the petition from the lawyer and asked Tofig Yagublu questions.
The lawyer Nizami Abbasov challenged the court staff. He was supported by all the other defendants and lawyers. The judge adjourned the trial. -26C-
