Resident of Jalilabad Killed by Lightning Strike
Baku / 07.06.17 / Turan: Stormy wind and thunderstorms in the southern region of the country caused natural disasters and the death of a man.
According to local sources, the wind blew more than 20 large trees on the Alat-Astara highway in the territory of Jalilabad, blocking the movement of cars.
In Jalilabad itself, from a lightning strike, a local resident, Azer Gurbanov, who was working on his plot of land, was killed.
In the Lerik district, thunderstorms caused a breakdown in the supply of electricity. Thus, a lightning strike caused a fire at a local substation.
In addition, a hail fell on the territory of the region, which caused serious damage to agricultural crops and orchards. -03B-
