Resident of Tovuz Appears on Armenian Side
On June 7 in the afternoon a citizen of Azerbaijan, resident of the village Yanigli of the Tovuz region Zohra Valiyeva born in 1977 crossed the border of Armenia from Azerbaijan. The Armenian press reported this, referring to the head of the State Commission of Armenia on POWs, Hostages and Missing Persons Armen Kaprielian.
According to him, the woman crossed the border in the direction of Megrab. The incident was reported to the Red Cross.
The Azerbaijani authorities, including the State Commission on POWs and Hostages and the Interior Ministry do not comment on this fact.
In turn, residents of Yanigly told Turan IA they know this woman as a fortune-teller. She is originally from Georgia, has no permanent place of residence and goes through villages, engaged in fortune-telling. "On Monday, she got on a bus and went to Gedabey," said one of the villagers. According to him, this woman, who is better known as Telly, has always shown inadequate behavior. -0-

Meetings of the Amnesty Issues Commission under the President of Azerbaijan are set to resume, with expectations that a new presidential amnesty decree will be issued. That decree covered 154 individuals, of whom 63 were released from imprisonment, while the sentences of 52 others were reduced by half.
