Residents of Karrar Village Complain of Removal of Their Land

Baku / 23.02.18 / Turan: Residents of the Karrar village of the Kurdamir region held a protest rally yesterday against the taking away of land from them. In this regard, several elders of the village were taken to the district police department. Turan was informed about this by one of the participants of the action.

Local residents complain that the land with a total area of ​​120 hectares has been transferred to outsiders. Local residents argue that these plots were provided as 8 hectares of land for each resident.

The police promised to study the matter and give an answer in 3-4 days.

In turn, the first deputy head of the Executive Power of the Kurdamir region, Tajheddin Novruzov, said these lands are not shared property, but municipal lands and were granted to residents for temporary lease.

"It's about 127 hectares. Of these, 44 hectares will be used for sowing cotton, for in the Kurdamir region 5,030 hectares of land should be planted for the cultivation of cotton," Novruzov said.-06D-
