Baku/19.05.21/Turan: In the district centre of Saatli, about 20 local residents protested in front of the district executive authority.
They told the press that there were irregularities in the granting of pensions, the establishment of disability, and the conduct of excavation and irrigation works. The residents' complaints are either not considered or they are referred to other organizations and, as a result, the issue is not resolved.
According to Saatli residents, who call officials "occupiers", corruption in the district is encouraged from Baku because the bribes collected in the district are exported to the capital.
The complainants blame the head of the local executive branch, Elmir Bagirov, for everything. Some of the protesters were received by Bagirov. According to Saatli residents this is due to the arrival of journalists in the district.
