Sapper ANAMA blown up by mine in Agdam
Baku/05.12.23/Turan: On December 5, Vagif Akperov, born in 1992, a sapper of the National Mine Clearance Agency (ANAMA) blew up on an anti-personnel mine near the village of Saryjaly in the Aghdam region.
According to ANAMA, the incident occurred during the performance of the sapper's official duties. The victim was evacuated to a regional hospital, where his right leg was amputated below the knee. His health condition is of moderate severity. -0-

On December 25, an Embraer 190 passenger plane operated by Azerbaijan Airlines CJSC (AZAL), on a Baku–Grozny flight, crashed near the city of Aktau in Kazakhstan. Azerbaijan’s Consul General in Aktau, Ayxan Suleymanlı, stated that the plane had 67 people onboard, including crew members, 38 of whom died. According to him, 26 of the deceased were Azerbaijani citizens.
