Baku / 11.09.20 / Turan: Member of the Board of the Movement for Democracy and Prosperity (MDP) Huseyn Melik was arrested for 15 days. The Sabail District Court of Baku found him guilty under Article 535.1 (not subordinate to the police) of the Code of Administrative Offenses.
As Turan was told in the MDP, Huseyn was detained on September 10 in the evening. He was taken from his home without any explanation and taken to the 41st precinct of the Sabail district police department.
“Huseyn Melik was detained because of his critical posts on Facebook. MDP condemns his arrest and considers it a political order,” the MDP said.
Recall that the leader of the MDP is the well-known economist Gubad Ibadoglu. —03B06-
