Second International Humanitarian Forum Opened in Baku
On Thursday in Baku with participation of President Ilham Aliyev opened the second International Humanitarian Forum on "XXI century: hopes and challenges."
The forum involved 694 delegates from 70 countries. Among them there are Nobel laureates, former presidents, and government delegations at the ministerial level.
The opening included the appeal of Russian President Vladimir Putin, the video statement of UNESCO Director General Irina Bokova, and the speech of ISESCO head Abdulaziz Altwaijri.
The two-day forum will include panel discussions on the theme: "The human aspect of the model of economic development", "New Media and Challenges", "New methodological approaches to the processes of globalization in XXI century", "Multiculturalism and cultural self-awareness," "Multiculturalism in the community" .
Baku International Humanitarian Forum is a science-policy platform worldwide for answers to global challenges facing humanity in the twenty-first century, a broad spectrum of dialogue, exchange of views and discussions on the most important issues of humanitarian cooperation.
First Baku Forum under the theme "Twenty-first Century: Hopes and Challenges" was held in October last year. -03D06-
