Sentencing for Nardaran Case Postponed
At the trial of the ‘Nardaran case’ the accused presented their final statements.
The Deputy Chairman of the Popular Front Party Fuad Gahramanli said he was arrested because of the support of Nardaranis.
"We are here for our ideas. Ilham Aliyev's regime sees a personal threat in everyone who does not bow to its policies," said Gahramanli.
He recalled that he was also arrested in the past, but those arrests were short-term, while now the authorities have decided to make it long-time. By such steps the government is trying to intimidate society.
"People not ready for sacrifice cannot find freedom," said Gahramanli and added that the believers condemned along with him are not terrorists, but humanists, who think about the future, even the children of the prosecutor and the judges.
The last defendant to speak was Abbas Guliyev, who declared his innocence and torture by the police.
According to him, he repeatedly tried to commit suicide in protest against the unjust prosecution. He twice wanted to hang himself, but he was not allowed to. Two times he cut his wrists, but he was saved.
Then the court declared that the meeting would be postponed for sentencing. However, they did not announce the time of the verdict declaration. -36C06--

In the last two days, a "news" story appeared on TikTok about a whale spotted on Baku's seaside boulevard. The most "observant" users posted videos, commenting on the size of the animal. Later, other "witnesses" claimed it wasn't a whale, but a shark. Even later, a version emerged suggesting it was a submarine.
