Sheikh complained of the channel «Sahar»

Sheikhulislam  Allahshukur Pashazade  received the Head of the Broadcasting Company of Iran, Izatullah Zarghami.

During the meeting it was noted in the past in the bilateral relations  there were tense moments, but in recent years the relations between Azerbaijan and Iran are developing steadily. Pashazade noted that the world's attitude toward the Iranian regime was ambiguous, but in recent years the attitude changes and the West began to reckon with Tehran.

"The world has seen that there are mullahs,  that understand  the  world politics influencing it," Pashazade said, referring to Iran's spiritual leader Khamenei.

In turn, Zarghami  called Pashazadeh  "internationally recognized, prominent religious and community leader."

According to him,  there are 160 TV channels  in Iran, and 29 broadcast around the world via satellite.

Authoritative religious figures in Iran  consider important distribution via TV knowledge about Islam, he said.

However Pashazade  complained  that the Iranian satellite channel «Sahar» takes a hostile attitude towards Azerbaijan, and called  to take  some measures.

Sheikh also touched on the possibility of establishing a joint television channel, which should give an important place to the "dissemination of religious knowledge."

In conclusion, he pointed to the importance of promoting the culture  of Azerbaijan by the Iranian TV.-05C-
