Shocking Surprise from Neftchi to fans
Baku / 05.11.19 / Turan: The Baku club Neftchi, which lost the championship two tours before the end of the Premier League of Azerbaijan and disappointed its fans, finally made them a shocking "surprise". Thus, the Baku club set the price at 50 manat for the tickets for the match of the last round of the championship with "Karabakh", which became the champion ahead of time. Information about this is available on the team site. FC "Neftchi" provoked the fair anger of both its own and neutral fans, who were looking forward for the match of two teams, which this season challenged the title of the best club of Azerbaijan.
It should be noted that prices for the Bakcell Arena stadium, which is home for Neftchi, usually cost one manat for ordinary sectors, and five manat for VİP sectors. Even with such prices, the maximum attendance of the stadium was 1000-1200 people. What guided the responsible persons who made such a decision is not clear? In discussions on social networks, a version is voiced that the Neftchi management, after the team lost the championship, does not want to see a large number of spectators at the stadium, fearing their disgruntled slogans.
In two rounds before the end of the championship, Neftchi lost the Sumgayit club at home with a score of 2: 3. After the match, Neftchi fans gathered around the team bus, shouting unpleasant slogans addressed to individual players and the head coach. The same picture was at the end of the match of the game in Gabala with the same team. Despite the victory in the match, which did not give anything to Neftchi, the fans showed dissatisfaction with the loss of the championship.
The average ticket prices for the matches of the group stage of the Europa League with the participation of "Karabakh" in the Baku Olympic Stadium were 20-30 manat. "Karabakh" met with the English "Arsenal", the Portuguese "Sporting" and the Ukrainian "Vorskla". -71D-
