Over the first nine months of 2016 in Azerbaijan have been neutralized 48 criminal groups of 118 people involved in drug trafficking, reported on November 8 at the Board session of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Azi Aslanov, Chief of the Interior Ministry anti-drug.
As a result 211 kilo of hard drugs, including 160 kilo opium, 37.7 kilo heroin and 14 kilo of hashish were confiscated; 2511 facts related to drugs, including 620 sales facts were revealed.
The cost of seized drugs is estimated on the black market at 6.774.000 manats, reads the report of the Interior Ministry.-16D-
