Soldier"s mother: My son was killed
Mother of 18-year-old soldier Parviz Iskenderli argues that her son did not commit a suicide while serving in the military.
On Friday mother of a soldier, Kifayat Iskenderli, held press-conference in the media center, and said that on July 13 the commander of a military unit told her about the death of her son. He called and said that her son hanged himself at the territory of a military unit. However, the mother believes that her son was killed. "At first he was brutally beaten, and then killed. There are many abrasions and bruises on his body, it was a result of torture," she said.
According to mother, she was not given an expert report, and the commander of the unit, Gasimli, is known for his tough treating soldiers. Local residents told her that the soldiers of the unit work as workers in the facilities of the commanders, food products are plundered. Moreover, the commanders insult and humiliate soldiers.
Kifayat Iskenderli appealed to the relevant authorities with a request to investigate the case. Military prosecutors launched an investigation, but until there are no results.
Human rights activist, Alekper Mamedov, said that three soldiers were arrested in the case.
