Baku / 28.06.19 / Turan: The Solidarity Marathon organized by the Committee against Repression and Torture at the headquarters of the Musavat Party was disrupted by the police.
According to a member of the Committee, Ogtay Gyulaliyev, police officers of the Binagadi district police department entered Musavat headquarters and demanded that the participants leave the building.
"We had to leave the headquarters. The marathon was violated," said Gyulaliyev.
The chairman of the Popular Front Party of Azerbaijan, Ali Kerimli, who participated in the Solidarity Marathon, was detained by people in civilian clothes and taken to the Binagadi district police department.
The Solidarity Marathon to raise funds to pay fines for social and political activists fined for various actions was last held at the end of last year. -0-
