Sheki/04.02.14/Turan : Vugar Alekperov , the son of the former Minister of Labor and Social Protection Fizuli Alekperov will be forcibly brought to the court to testify as a victim in Ismayilli events.

Also forcibly brought to the court will be his cousin Elkhan Alekperov, son of the former chief executive of the region, Nizami Alekperov.

This decision was made today at a regular meeting on the Ismayilli events in the Sheki Court of Grave Crimes.

The Alekperovs were twice previously sent subpoenas, but they ignored them.

The prosecutor offered to confine their testimony with the announcement of preliminary investigation records. However, the lawyers objected because it is about material damage, so the victims have to answer questions of the defense.

However, the judge refused to grant an application for a subpoena to the former head of the region's executive power Nizami Alekperov .

The judge was also presented video footage shot by the newspaper Yeni Musavat and Radio Azadliq regarding the stay of the deputy chairman of Musavat Tofig Yagublu and the leader of the REAL Movement Ilgar Mamedov in Ismayilli on January 24, 2013.

These materials confirm that they did not commit any illegal acts.

However, the prosecutor opposed the submission of these materials, referring to the unclear character of their source. Then the lawyers indicated that the reports belong to official media.

The judge said that if necessary, the video can be viewed and accepted as evidence.

At today's meeting the court also questioned the witness Asif Agayev. He refused of the evidence given at the preliminary investigation, saying that he was pressured. The witness did not identify any of the rioters.
