Stormy Wind Causes Damage to Ismayilli
Baku / 22.05.17 / Turan: Last Sunday a stormy wind with heavy rains and thunderstorms passed through the north-western regions of Azerbaijan.
In the evening of May 21, a stormy wind and heavy rains caused damage to residential buildings and economic structures of the Ismayilli region. This was reported by the deputy head of the executive power of the region, the head of the Commission for Emergency Situations Rovshan Agayev.
In the district center, power supply and telephone communication were disrupted. The storm pulled down trees on eight communal buildings and also affected about 30 private houses and a car.
Work has begun on the restoration of the damaged buildings and liquidation of the damage caused. -05B-
