The appeal of Giyas Ibrahimov will be considered
Baku / 17.05.17 / Turan: A complaint of activist Giyas Ibrahimov, sentenced to 10 years of imprisonment on charges of drug trafficking, will be considered at the Baku Appeals Court under the chairmanship of Vugar Mammadov on May 22 at 12.00, said a lawyer Elchin Sadygov. According to him, the trial will be open. The defense asks the court to acquit Ibragimov for justifiable reasons.
Giyas Ibrahimov and Bayram Mammadov wrote political slogans on the monument to Heydar Aliyev - "Down with the system!" and "With the holiday of slaves!" on May 10, 2016. On the same day they were arrested. The international human rights organization Amnesty International has recognized them as "prisoners of conscience" .- 03D06-
