Baku Court of Appeal dismissed the appeal of the journalist Parviz Hashimli. The court upheld the conviction of a journalist, according to the lawyer Bahruz Bayramov.
Protection Hashimli intends to appeal the decision of the appellate court to the Supreme Court.

On May 15 Baku Serious Crimes Court found him guilty of illegal purchase, possession and smuggling of arms and ammunition, and sentenced to 8 years imprisonment. During search and operational activities, on January 30 at 11:20, 16.4 kg of drugs were discovered and seized in the area of the "Geytapa" border post, located on the Iran-Azerbaijan border.
