The commander of a military unit was arrested in Nakhchivan, the reasons are not clear
The military prosecutor's office has arrested Samir Haziyev, the commander of one of the military units stationed in Nakhchivan. Colonel Haziyev is charged under Article 341.2.3 of the Criminal Code of Azerbaijan, the press service of the Military Prosecutor's Office. By the decision of the Baku Military Court, he was arrested. The investigation is ongoing.
The Article 341.2.3 of the Criminal Code implies abuse of power, which led to grave consequences. The prosecutor's office does not say what exactly is hidden behind this wording, and what exactly the colonel committed.
