The Court of Appeal leaves NIDA activist in detained
Baku Court of Appeal today dismissed the complain of Elgiz Gahramanli, the activist of NIDA Movement, who challenged the refusal to release him under house arrest. According to lawyer Fariz Namazly, the activist was arrested August 12 on charges of large scale drug trafficking. According to investigators, 3.315 grams of heroin were found with him. However NIDA Movement is convinced that the activist is persecuted for political motives.-16D-
