The Court of Appeal will consider the complaint of the journalist
Baku / 29.01.18 / Turan: Aziz Orujov, Executive Director of Internet TV "Kanal 13", has been scheduled to appeal at 11:00 on February 6 at the Baku Court of Appeal. The case will be reviewed by a team headed by Amir Bayramov, said a lawyer Javad Javadov. According to him, the defense insists on justifying the journalist. Arrested on May 2, 2017 on the basis of politically motivated charges of abuse of office, journalist Aziz Orujev was sentenced to six years in prison on December 15. The verdict was condemned by international non-governmental organizations in the field of human rights. Human rights structures recognized him as a political prisoner.-06D-
