The court rejected all petitions of attorneys in the «Nardaran case 3"

Today Baku  serious Crimes Court  continued the trial  in the case of theologian Zulfugar Mikailov and 10 other believers, accused of trying to violent change of the constitutional order, terrorism and other serious crimes.

This  trial is called "Nardaran case-3" because this is the third group of detainees accused in the organization of the Islamic movement in Nardaran.

The defendants were arrested after the special operation in Nardaran on November 26th 2015 and they  are accused of the same charges as the leader and activists of the movement "Muslim unity" Thale Bagirzade.

The judicial investigation is conducted under the chairmanship of Judge Zeynal Agayev.

Lawyers for the defendants petitioned to exclude from the list of  evidence  the protocols on searches  of the two witnesses whose signatures are under the protocols.

Lawyer Akif Aliyev said that the operation was carried out roughly and his client was tortured in the  Main Directorate for Combating Organized Crime. The lawyer pointed out that the witness Moshu Pashayev was  involved  in almost all cases in Lankaran.

Other lawyers have petitioned the transfer of the accused under house arrest, and to stop the criminal investigation.

All applications have been rejected. The next court session is scheduled for 6  February.-36C-
