The crew of the Azerbaijanis and Ukrainians arrested in Georgia
Tbilisi/12.11.13/Turan-BS PRESS: The ship "IREM", sailing under the flag of Belize , was arrested for violation of the rules of entry into the maritime region of Abkhazia, the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia on Tuesday, November 12.
"There were captain of the ship, the Azerbaijani, Avif Mechio, and crew - five Ukrainians and two citizens of Azerbaijan on board," the statement reads.
According to the press service, the ship was detained while sailing to Turkey. The investigation is ongoing under the Article 332-1 of the Criminal Code of Georgia - "breach of the rules of entry into the occupied territory."
The Azerbaijani Embassy in Georgia has not commented on this fact. Apparently, the name and surname of the captain of the ship sounds different , because there are not such names in Azerbaijan . -02D-
