The decision of the Appellate Court in the case of M. Huseynov postponed for April 12
Baku/11.04.17/Turan: On 11April the Appeal Court of Baku completed the consideration of the case of Mehman Huseynov, who was sentenced to 2 years of imprisonment on libel charges.
Lawyers Fuad Agayev, Elchin Sadigov and Shakhla Humbatova called on the court to acquit Huseynov in view of the inadequacy of the charge. Huseynov himself also rejected accusations.
The judge postponed the announcement of the verdict at 10:00 on April 12.
Huseynov was convicted on the suit of the head of the Nasimi district police Musa Musayev. The plaintiff saw the slander in Huseynov's statements that he was tortured in the said police department.-06D—
