The examination time is approaching

Baku / 01.05.18 / Turan: Reception of documents for admission to higher and secondary special educational institutions of the country for 2018-2019 academic year has been completed in Azerbaijan. As the press service of the State Examination Center informs, the total number of entrants who will take part in the current intellectual marathon reaches 87535 people.

It is interesting that, the overwhelming majority of applicants decided to pass the testing at the stage of the spring examinations, which will be held on May 13 and 20. So, I will take 28037 applicants for the first group, 17249 for the second group, 19295 for the third group, and 5082. for the fourth group. More than 17 thousand boys and girls have chosen specialties for the V group. Only a small number of entrants - 1532 people wanted to take exams in the summer.

However, Turan said in the HEC, this is not the final figures, because before the summer stage of the exams an additional round of documents reception will be announced. There are other innovations that will significantly increase the chances of applicants for admission to universities. They will be able to participate not only in two rounds of admission exams, but also take exams in different groups of specialties - two or even three groups.

"Let's say an applicant of the first group can take part in the second exam for the II or V group (if in the V group he had previously passed a creative contest) specialties. If

he scored the required passing score, can also participate in the competition for the selection of specialties at once in two or three groups. But this does not mean that the applicant will be admitted to different universities in different specialties simultaneously. A young person chooses 15 specialties from different groups, but is credited for the first, second or third specialties indicated in the application. Thus, he goes to that university and that specialty, which corresponds to the sum of points he has accumulated, "the GEC explained.

Recall that the receipt of documents for participation in the examination campaign was held from March 29 to April 30 in electronic format. As for the amount of payment for participation in the examinations for bachelor's degree, they have not changed. Recently, discussions have been held in the Azerbaijani media about the high tariffs for taking part in examinations in baccalaureate, magistracy and residency. While the management of the HEC does not comment on the opinions of a number of experts on this topic. It should be taken into account that the agency, being a legal entity of public law, operates in a new financial regime and refuses paid services.--0--
