The head of security firm accused of fraud
Prosecutor General's Office reported about the investigation into security firms, "International Security Service - Gala" and OOO "Azermuhafize." According to the report, the investigation began on the basis of complaints of the Baku resident, Gunduz Jafarov. The investigation revealed that the head of both companies, Vugar Huseynov, by prior agreement with a group of people got money from different people, promising to find job for them. Suspected of causing material damage to citizens Huseynov was arrested, and has been charged under Articles 178-2.1, 178.2.2 and 178.2.4 (fraud committed on preliminary arrangement by group of persons, repeatedly and with the application of large material damage) of the Criminal Code.
The Chief Police Department of Baku city continues investigation of the case. On January 19 about 200 employees of the company "International Security Service - Gala" held a series of protests outside the offices of the company, the presidential administration and parliament, demanding the return of their funds.
The people were taken 2500 manat under the pretext of opening a deposit account, and the payment of dividends with this contribution. However, the last three months the workers were not paid any salary or dividends. The statement the prosecutor's office did not say what is being done for the return of their money. -05D-

Last night, three earthquakes occurred along the Armenia-Azerbaijan border with magnitudes of 4.8, 3.0, and 3.8, according to the Republican Center for Seismological Service of the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan. The Ministry of Emergency Situations reported no information about any destruction or casualties as a result of the earthquakes.
