The head of the site was arrested on charges of extortion
Baku/11.12.23/Turan: Arshad Ibrahimov, the head of the dunyaninsesi.az website operating in Ganja , was detained by employees of the Main Directorate for Combating Organized Crime (MDCOCP) of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. He was charged under the Article 282.2.2 of the Criminal Code of Azerbaijan (extortion by threats, committed repeatedly.) By the decision of the Narimanov District Court of Baku, a preventive measure was chosen against him in the form of arrest for a period of 4 months, Tural Ibrahimov, the brother of the head of the site, told Turan.
According to him, he was detained on the complaint of one of the heads of medical institutions in Ganja, who was “forced” to testify that in 2021 A.Ibrahimov received a bribe of 200 manats from her, and then again extorted money from her by threats.
T.Ibrahimov claims that the “true reason” for the arrest is his brother's criticism of the police. The press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs confirmed to Turan the detention of the head of the site based on numerous complaints from citizens. An investigation is underway into the fact, an Interior Ministry spokesman said.-0-
