The journalist questioned at the prosecutor's office
Baku/04.07.17/Turan: Today, on July 4, 2017, journalist Aitaj Ahmedova was questioned for more than two hours in the Serious Crimes Office of the Prosecutor General's Office.
The interrogation was connected with the criminal case concerning journalist Afgan Mukhtarly and the activity of the Internet resource "Meydan TV", she told the Azadlig Radio. The journalist was interrogated as a witness. She did not tell us about the details of the interrogation, since she had taken a non-disclosure subscription. At the same time, Aitaj Ahmedova expressed dissatisfaction with the length of the interrogation.
"For two years this meaningless investigation has been dragging on. Each time they call and ask the same questions. This time more questions were asked in connection with Afgan Mukhtarly," the journalist said.
Earlier, journalists Sevinj Vagifgyzy, Khadija Ismail, Natik Javadli, former and current leaders of Musavat party Isa Gambar and Arif Hajili, chairman of the executive apparatus of the Gulaga Aslanli party were interrogated as witnesses in the above-mentioned case.
Last week, lawyer Elchin Sadigov announced the merger of Afgan Mukhtarly's cases with the case of Meydan TV. -0-
