
Two Civilians Killed as Result of Shelling of Alkhanli Village by Armenians (PHOTO)
Baku / 05.07.17 / Turan: Two local residents were killed as a result of shelling by the Armenian Armed Forces of the village Alkhanly of the Fizuli region in the south of Karabakh on July 4. Another local resident was injured and hospitalized.
As reported by the press service of the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry late on Tuesday, on July 4 at around 20.40 the Armenian armed forces fired from 82 and 120 mm mortars and heavy grenade launchers on the village Alkhanly of the Fizuli region.
As a result of this provocation by the Armenian side, the residents of the village Guliyeva Sahiba Idris Gizi born in 1967 and Guliyeva Zakhra Elnur Gizi born in 2015 were killed. As a result of the bombardment, a resident of the village Guliyeva Sarvinaz Iltifat Gizi born in 1965 was taken to hospital with shrapnel wounds and operated.
International organizations were informed of the incident.
After the appropriate measures taken by the Azerbaijani armed forces, the enemy was forced to cease fire. The military-political leadership of Armenia is responsible for the bloody provocation, the press release says. -06D-
