The prosecutor office does not see terror in a series of explosions in Azerbaijan
Explosion on February 13 at the gas station "Lukoil -Azerbaijan" in Khatai district of Baku was the result of a dangerous fire air-gas mixture formed by the evaporation of petroleum products, reads the statement of the General Prosecutor's Office.
On the fact of explosion which resulted in death of two workers and injure one person Investigation Department of Baku City Prosecutor's Office files a lawsuit under the Article 162.2 (violation of safety rules) of the Criminal Code.
The JSC “Lukoil-Azerbaijan” stated that the explosion was due to violation of safety rules while conducting repair work at the gas station by the representatives of JSC "Context."
On January 13 operation was stopped and passed to a contractor for repair. During operations there happened an explosion of vapor of oil products accumulated in the tank number 1.
The statement of the General Prosecutor's Office reads that the reason for another explosion in the morning on February 13 near the metro station "Azadlig Prospect" was a gas leak in the basement of an unfinished object. As a result of the explosion , five people were injured , damaged vehicles , residential buildings and commercial facilities; a lawsuit was filed under the Article 314.1 (negligence.)
A lawsuit was filed under the Article 162.2 on the fact of explosion in Bilasuvar region during welding on the car "Kamaz" with a trailer transporting fuel. Driver of the car Shaig Jafarli and welder Azhdar Poladov died, and the worker Baloglan Poladov was injured. Some media have seen in explosions a series of possible terrorist attacks.
However , according to the official report of the General Prosecutor, the police have not seen in these cases any terror.—06D--
