The prosecutor urges to condemn the PFPA activist to four years
Today at the trial in the case of the member of the board of the Popular Front Party Mammad Ibrahim held in the Narimanov district court of the capital the prosecutor asked to condemn Ibrahim to four years of imprisonment. During the trial all prosecution witnesses confirmed Ibrahim's innocence, and said that he did not use force against those whom investigation recognized as a victim.
Ibrahim also denied the charges, saying that he is being persecuted for his opposition political activities. Human rights organizations have recognized Ibrahim apolitical prisoners.
* M. Ibrahim was arrested on September 30 last year on charges of disorderly conduct (221.1) ( The complaint was filed by Mikyail Guliyev - a former member of the PFPA.) Subsequently, this article has been reclassified to a heavier charge under the Article 221.2.2, in which Ibrahim is facing up to 5 years in prison.-06-
