The rules on the cancellation of masks, organization of weddings and other ceremonies are being prepared in Azerbaijan
Baku/20.05.21/Turan: Operational Headquarters under the Cabinet of Ministers assesses the epidemiological situation in the country and discusses measures to mitigate it.
According to Yagut Garayeva, head of TƏBİB's prevention and control department, rules are being drawn up to eliminate the use of masks outdoors as long as physical distance is maintained, as well as regulations for weddings and other ceremonies. Those rules are expected to be announced soon.
According to her, the decisions will be announced soon:
"The cancellation of masks in the open air while keeping a physical distance may be announced . But we have to wait for the official announcements. As a doctor I share my thoughts. Generally, there are many issues that are worrying the citizens. Including holidays , all ceremonies leading up to mass gatherings are discussed . Certain rules are being worked out. We have been saying for a year that the concept of normal life will change".
At the same time, Garayeva spoke about the beach and vaccines.
"As the number of vaccinated people increases, we can go back to normal. As for the beach, I can say that we do not regulate the rules. There are discussions going on in that direction. We can only do medical assessment as doctors," she said.
The first coronavirus infection in Azerbaijan was detected on 28 February 2020.
The special quarantine regime declared in the country will last until 1 June. Public transport has been suspended throughout the country on weekends and public holidays.
According to a Cabinet of Ministers decree, the use of medical masks is mandatory in all indoor and outdoor areas of the country during the special quarantine regime.-0-
