The Sheki court dismissed the complaint of "Musavat"
Baku / 05.05.17 / Turan: Sheki Court of Appeal rejected the complaint of the Musavat Party against the executive power of the Sheki district. Accordign to the deputy chairman of Musavat Elman Fattah, the executive power of the district refused to provide the party with a room for an event dedicated to the memory of the outstanding Azerbaijani writer and thinker Mirza Fatali Akhundov.
The party regarded this as a restriction of freedom of assembly, and complained to the district administration in the Sheki administrative and economic court. The latter rejected the lawsuit of the party.
Musavat appealed this decision, but on May 5, the Sheki Court of Appeal also dismissed the complaint. Now the party intends to file a cassation appeal to the Supreme Court of Azerbaijan. -05B06-
