The smuggling of 83 kg of drugs from Iran has been stopped
Baku/07.03.23/Turan: During the joint operation of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Border Service of the country, an attempt to smuggle a large batch of drugs from Iran into Azerbaijan was stopped.
According to the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, two residents of the city of Sheki were detained during the operation, 69 kg of marijuana, 14 kg of opium and amphetamine were seized from them.
The detainees reported that they had received drugs for sale from an Iranian citizen named Yashar. The packages with drugs were hidden in the territory of the Fuzuli district, from where the smugglers took him.
In fact, a criminal case has been opened, both smugglers have been arrested.
